Engine Management
The application of ShouldCost methods and principles to engine maintenance, repair and overhaul.
EVS has an in-depth background in managing this process from workscope development to final test and re-delivery with:
- A Large database of historic overhauls from multiple repair locations
- Light medium and heavy workscopes with detail down to piece part level
- Complete system records of serialised components down to individual blades and vanes.
- With experience and excellent connections in the MRO industry and component purchasing, EVS can also source material during the shop visits which pro-actively helps lower the final cost.
- DER and PMA incorporation can also be detailed if approved by the client.
EVS will comprehensively manage costs and turn time through: - Initial workscoping, taking into consideration SB’s, AD’s and client requirements.
- First visit to inspect incoming engine and documentation
- Workscope re-evaluation after teardown
- Second visit to review material required
- Final analysis and identification of potential warranty claims
- MRB review and sale or storage of material dependant on clients requirements
EVS will work with the client to: - Negotiate on high cost replacements during the engine overhaul
- Benchmark costs as they occur to make sure the client gets best value on repairs
- Utilisation of DER/PMA/Approved “OEM” reworks where applicable
- Leverage value engineering techniques and ShouldCost analysis on MRB material to ensure minimum waste and sale of material which can be repaired externally.
- Minimise overall turn time through effective process monitoring
- Maximise available warranty
